Wool and Question
So this is the wool that I will be using. I am not sure about all its properties etc but it looks nice which is mainly why i chose it...lol

That is so pretty!! Where did you get that yarn? I love it!
I say use the same needles you will use to knit the garmet. All needles are NOT created equal lol, don't ask me how i know lol
wool would work, but might be warmer than you would like for a summer top. it looks like a loose fitting top, so i think if your gauge isn't spot on, it would still look nice. i think circular knitting tends to be a little more relaxed than straight needles. make sure when you gauge swatch to do the stockinette stitch.
